Approximate size: 460 x 300 x 100mm (Bronze).

As part of the Balance series, Ballon is the appearance of weightlessness and of being airborne. A dancer is said to have ballon if she seems to be in the air constantly with only momentary contact with the floor. Anneke uses a ring to suspend the piece in the air, creating the contradiction of weightless bronze. It encourages seeing the lighter side no matter one’s personal life weighing one down. This piece can be placed hanging in different ways to encourage interaction between the piece and the viewer. Edition of 11.
